after all their losses last year, columbus still doesn't look horrible on paper. Always give us fits

I probably missed something, but why were Myers and Sanheim split up now that Hagg is back in the lineup? To give each pairing a d minded player and a player with some offensive ability?

Looking on HockeyDB, it's actually a pretty even deal based on point production.

IMO, I'd say Cam is more valuable based on: cheaper cap hit, speed, and versatility.

And not like it is really a super significant stat, but one is a career -43, while the other is a +6.

I agree he holds more value to his team than jvr does. i also for some reason thought he was younger. looked it up...he's already 30. But if i were them i would not do this trade. For a big power forward like jvr. he's not getting any slower and doesn;t really throw the body. He will be a specialist in the league for the next few years, but to me will not have the legs to keep up with the pace in a few years. Still baffled by the signing. Take away that one bismol year in toronto when he was a minus 33...doesn't look as bad. He's here and i hope he does well....just don't have much faith in him moving forward. he could always play with two faster players.....James, just skate straight to the net. here's a donut

if hagg continues his play, soon he will have more points than ghost. in ten less games Myers already has 3 and 3

Ghost is a healthy scratch 3 games in a row. How long will Ghost be living in AV's dog house? JVR is still on the 4th line. JVR only puts an effort into his game when he is 3 feet in front of the net or when the puck is on his stick, otherwise he is a spectator on the ice. Basically, Philly is spending a lot of money on a lazy 4th liner. Some people complain about Hayes, but at least Hayes works on the PK and has more of a 200 foot game. Hopefully JVR starts scoring again?

i agree with you all around here!
I want to see him succeed for the rest of his Flyers career, but c'mon Jimmy put the biscuit in the basket already!

i'm starting to wait for the "we have a trade to announce". Each game he sits though makes me think it may be decreasing his value. Unless another team is trying to work something which i doubt. some rumors out there but there always are. But as discussed, at this point maybe a change scenery would be best for his game and ours

Ok, IF... we make a trade. And, package up Ghost and JVR for one roster guy (plus whatever, not roster guy). Do you want to get back an offenseman or defenseman?

depends if it is in or offseason and who it is. not trying to be indecisive. in season i would prefer d. offseason doesn;t matter as you have time to fill holes. they both add up to over 11 mil....you looking at doughty???

Tonight has to a victory. A convincing victory. Not a 2-1 game in regulation. Not a 2-1 game in OT. Not a 2-1 game after a shootout. Tonight has to be a 5-1 minimum.

Morgan Frost has been good but I don’t agree with him being our first or second line center. Couturier and Hayes have to our play Frost. I don’t agree with JvR being on the fourth line. Jake has been allowed to play through it, JvR needs the same.

Agree with JVR. Paying him 7M, give him some players to work with . Fourth line players and minutes probably wont help him in anyway. If he doesn't work hard enough in 5-5 play then maybe the coach shouldn't reward him with PP time. That's the area he should be in the dog house for. Keep him on the PP 1 IF he shows some life in 5-5 play.

JVR was skating very well earlier in the year in all zones, and was actually a presence in the neutral zone defensively. Since he’s been bumped down he’s packed it in

Time is running out to trade and sign Puljujarvi by 12/1. They say he can be had for a 3rd round pick. Ghost was a pretty good 3rd round pick.
